I tend to have 10 diapers for long-haul flights including times to get to and from the airport. ![]() It’s not worth your nerves, especially as you can easily live without it (and more importantly, so can your baby).ĭiapers – It goes without saying that the baby needs diapers and wipes. Trust me, you not only don’t need it, but you won’t be able to get off the plane and bring it all alone. You don’t want to be that person that travels with a baby bathtub and multiple suitcases. When it comes to the baby packing list, there’s one word you need to remember: moderation. I’ve been in both of these situations various times □Īfter numerous trips with a baby: to resorts, AirBnBs, road trips, over 40 flights with a baby, dozen more with a toddler, traveling with a baby solo, and moving to and from different countries with a baby and a cat in tow too – I’ve learned the best ways! On the other hand, you don’t want to overpack and realize that you won’t fit in your taxi. The last thing you want when you travel is to shop for missing baby items, especially in a foreign language and in a place where they might not have what you’re used to. If you forget something for your baby, you might be in trouble. Every trip with a baby becomes an adventure vacation with a baby, not necessarily in a good way. Toy ( nesting toys, activity toy, suction cup high chair toy).Baby food (I prefer the pouches that can be re-sealed with a lid).Your baby’s favorite snacks ( snack puffs, freeze-dried yogurt bites, teething wafers).Wet wipes (bring more than you think you’ll need).10 diapers (you’ll want more than enough to get you to your destination).This is pretty standard practice across the board for most airlines. ![]() Plus, they also allow you to check a stroller and a car seat at no additional cost. We flew on American Airlines and they allow you to bring one extra bag for an infant that will be sitting on your lap. Snacks: Nutella and Go, chips, granola bars, fruit leather, beef jerky, trail mix.Waterbottle (don’t forget to leave it empty until you go through security).Handheld electronic devices: Fire Kids Tablet, Nintendo Switch Lite.But I do have some other items that are pretty important as well. There’s no screen limit when it comes to traveling for the sanity of all involved. Let’s be real, when flying with kids, the most important item is some kind of electronic device that can entertain them for literally hours. Fortunately, I packed all the right stuff to keep my kids happy for the entirety of the journey. I have to admit, I was a little bit stressed out about it. It was the first time flying in an airplane with our entire family. We decided to fly to Costa Rica with our four boys and our baby.
